A: When your present web hosting provider can no longer answer the requirements of your site, or if you suffer from constant network downtime, or if you are forced to wait for hours for the client service team to respond to you, it may be smart to change your hosting provider, i.e. to transfer all the files for your web sites along with your databases from your present provider to your future provider. At Fourhman Hosting, we realize that this can often be hard and time–consuming. For this reason, we’ll perform all that for you for free!Our knowledgeable technical team will move your website content from your current web hosting provider to us. Our techs have extensive experience with web site migration and can handle everything – from a typical WordPress–powered weblog or Joomla^™ web site, to a highly complex, custom–built application.

A: While we can’t give you an exact time frame, since there are plenty of factors, among them the physical size of the files and databases, the location of the current host’s server, the complexity of your web site and the current workload of our Website Migration Department, etc., we’ll do our best to transfer your website within 48h, and in some cases – within 24h (if the content is not very large).

A: Yeah. We will need the name of the site that you wish us to migrate. We’ll also require a way to access your current hosting account so that we can get the content pertaining to your website.

A: Before we can start the transfer of your account, you must first open an account with us. Opening an account with us will require that you to disclose precisely the same information you have provided to your current host. We also have a very rigid Privacy Policy, which describes how sensitive data is dealt with.

A: Your website will continue to work just like it did before with your old hosting provider. As soon as we are through with the migration, your website will be configured to work on our platform and we will alert you to preview it. If everything is working properly, all you will have to do is edit the NS resource records associated with your domain. Your site will be migrated to us without any downtime.

A: No. We will never contact your hosting provider about anything. They will not be aware of the website transfer either.

A: We can migrate your web site from any web hosting provider or any Linux–driven hosting platform given that we can acquire access to the Control Panel and there is File Transfer Protocol access available.The only web sites that we can’t migrate are those based on closed–source software applications such as Wix, BaseKit, Jimdo, Website Tonight, Four Square and Mr Site.
